What is ERC?

Working in education is hard. To be honest, everyday life can be pretty hard at the minute.

It’s time to do something about it.

Welcome to the Educators Running Club, or ERC to our friends. That includes you, by the way.

ERC is a club for anyone who currently works (or has ever worked) in education. It’s a club for their families too, because they know what it’s like out there. It’s a club for us and now it’s a club for you too.

What does ERC do? We run, and we’d love you to run with us and join the VRC, our Virtual Running Club. But you don’t have to - instead you can join us for the kind of friendship, support and fun that you get with a group of mates who all do something crazy and exhausting for a living. We’re about celebrating the cool stuff you do when you’ve finished work, whatever that cool stuff may be. Art? Dance? Gardening? Knitting? Stamp Collecting? It’s all good.

Here’s the Golden Rule - you can do anything, as long as you do something. And we’re here to help you find it, make time for it and share it with others. Don’t let the job win. This is You Time.

So…when do we start? We start on Wednesday. Wednesdays are for ERC, and now they’re for you too. We don’t work on Wednesday nights, because Wednesday nights are ours.
